NAVY CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER KEITH R. WAGNER, a 1985 graduate of Matawan Regional High School, made a port visit with his shipmates to Noumea, New Caledonia, aboard the USS Blue Ridge. Blue Ridge is ported in Yokosuka, Japan, and serves as a command and control center for naval and joint commanders.
NAVY SEAMAN ALBERT L. FUSCO, son of Connie and Albert M. Fusco of Middletown, completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Fusco is a 1998 graduate of Seton Hall Preparatory High School, West Orange.

MARINE CORPS CAPTAIN SHARON L. DUBOW, a Neptune native, was promoted to her current rank July 1. She is the Officer Selection Officer for Marine Corps Recruiting Station, East Brunswick. Cpt. Dubow has received the National Defense Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Medal.
NAVY PETTY OFFICER 3RD CLASS MICHAEL J. DOWENS was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal while serving as a boatswain's mate aboard the USS Carter Hall, stationed in Virginia Beach, Va. Dowens helped maintain safety and prevent serious damage and injury aboard the ship after it broke free from its mooring during a severe storm.
MARINE CORPS CAPT. STEPHEN M. SARNECKY, husband of Kristie L. Sarnecky, was promoted to the rank of captain while serving as the Operations Officer for Marine Corps Recruiting Station New Jersey. He graduated from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Galloway.
