Charleston native Eric Douglas will sign copies of his book, "Cayman Cowboys," from 5-7 p.m. today at the Bluegrass Kitchen, Washington and Elizabeth streets.

His novel is set on Grand Cayman Island, and is a dive adventure novel that features beautiful locations, greedy developers and corrupt politicians.

Douglas began diving in 1990 in West Virginia. He made his first dives in Summersville Lake and eventually earned his first dive professional status there.

He later became a dive instructor while living in California and is currently the training director for Divers Alert Network, located in Durham NC. He has been with the organization for five years.

Films include "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events," Tuesday; "Bambi," Wednesday; "Sleeping Beauty," Dec. 29; and "James and the Giant Peach," Dec. 30.
